yes. when demand is high and supply is low price will go up. as soon as the shelves are full of ammo the price will come back down

bingo. all this crap of government buy up is horse s***. If you worked in a sporting goods store like me youd see. People every morning since november running in there, fighting over ammo lets you know its all about demand. Factories just cant keep up

Word on the street, and just from what I have seen, is that prices are starting to come down. 22LR is still proportionally expensive, and the hording might be to blame. At least shotgun ammo is still reasonably priced.

I found some Federal 22LR at Walmart in West Columbia Tx.  $1.97 50ct box (pretty cheap to me), limit 3

Previously I have paid $10.00 for 100 ct CCI mini mag at some pawn shops and gun ranges,  limit 1

Glad its duck season

A number of companies are not making it at the moment.  They are trying to catch up on center fire.  Ammo companies make more on center fire and have made it thier priority to get it out to the customers.  They don't make as much on rimfire and don't feel the pressure to ramp up production.
