I have a ten week old 12 lbs lab pup and we where in central WI. She was in a sun room (room with 5 Ft windows almost all touching each other) I was watching her from the other room then i heard a huge thump so i went in to see what she got in to. When i get in there i didn't see anything and look out the window and a hawk is on the ground right next to the window.

I am just glad the window was there because we were outside five mins earlier.

I was wondering if anybody has heard or has had predator birds go after there pups?

I have never had that happen but my grandma has a very small toy breed dog and hawks and eagles have swooped down at him before while going for a walk. Must have been a really hungry bird is my guess. Most eagles and hawks dont hunt unless they have to. Meaning they are scavengers a lot of the time. I would keep an eye on the pup when its outside thats forsure it may not kill it but could really hurt the pup! In a few months you will have no issues any more it just because the pup is so small yet, but they grow quickly! So you should not have to worry to long.
